What is a "Friend" of the Library?
~ The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group dedicated to the support and promotion of the library. As a member of the friends, you will be making a contribution to the future of the community. The group was started in 2000 with this stated goal " to help enhance the value of the library as a cultural and educational asset to the community and keep the public informed of the library's many services".
The Friends of the Library Board (a separate entity from the Library Board of Trustees) is a dedicated group of men and women that volunteer for a countless number of community and library activities, and raise funds to purchase new books, computers or other necessities needed by the library. They fund the Summer and Winter reading programs, pay costs for special guests, artists and speakers.
